T Chendil Kumar
T Chendil Kumar or CK for short, is a Civil Engineer by training and a trainer by choice.
With over 18 years of experience in sales and marketing of industrial consumables, he is now a full fledged corporate trainer based out of Bangalore. He was based in Dubai for three years before settling down in Bangalore. Mentored by Dr DVR Seshadri of IIM Bangalore, CK honed his skills as a facilitator. He is trained at the Harvard Law School on ' teaching negotiation in organisations', under Dr Robert Cialdini on the 'Principles of Persuasion' in Phoenix Arizona.
CK has been an in-house trainer for TCS for the past 10 years on various leadership programs specialising in cross cultural negotiation, influence and management.
He has travelled repeatedly to seventeen countries - USA, The Netherlands, France, Germany, Switzerland, Ecuador, Mexico, Spain, Norway, Sweden,Belgium, Italy, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Malaysia. In all these countries, CK's focus was on imparting cross cultural influencing skills to both expats and locals. For locals, he ran a program ' Doing business in India.
Understanding the cultural nuances'. Having lived in the UAE for three years and having taught Business Communication at IIM Indore RAK ( Dubai campus), he offers critical inputs on understanding the Arab mindset, culturally, professionally and personally. Based on his vast international exposure, CK offers a highly rated ' Cross Cultural Essentials' session in the Business Relationship Course both at IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Udaipur.
He is also the Guest Faculty at IIM Bangalore since 2005 focusing on Influencing Skills, Negotiation Skills and Managerial Communication, Guest Faculty at IIM Ahmedabad - Business Relationship Course and Entrepreneurship Cell, Visiting Faculty at IIM Indore Dubai/RAK campus teaching a course on Managerial Communication.
CK is an acclaimed public speaker and has spoken at many TEDx forums in Chennai, Dubai, Salem, Guwahati and Tirupur.
